Boundaries and honesty are essential to the authenticity of choices we make. Later tonight Mars squares Neptune in Pisces for the third time through its journey in Gemini. First square took place on October 12th and second on November 19th of 2022, though that whole period was under heavy influence of this energy. Now we are arriving to either greater clarity or to the realizations about what we need to move away from, what we need to bring to the light, what needs to be communicated and cleared out, so there is very little place for misconstrued obligations, promises and commitments.

The price of greater awareness on how much will and energy we have spent on preserving the memories, beliefs and desires that have nothing to do with our actual, authentic needs is disillusionment. The perceptions of our reality, our long standing pains and the ways we prolong our stagnation through perpetually crossing our own boundaries have been under profound scrutiny for the last 5 months. Disillusionment is the Universe's way of humbling our assumptions and separating essential from not.

This last go between Mars and Neptune is quite complex, as it is accompanied by the stellium of planets in Pisces. This whole week we deal with these energies. Sun, Mercury and Neptune within one degree orb in Pisces are facing off with Mars, which is full of mental angst and fatigue collected over the last 7 months. If we do the cutting mindlessly, self righteously and with the notion of the absolute knowing, we haven’t learnt anything in the last months. This stellium is the test of compassion in what we choose to say to ourselves and to others when we feel tired and just want to get it over with. Self sabotage is a sneaky beast, the sense of an idealized version of what we want to accomplish is as dangerous as devaluing ourselves into stagnation. This aspect calls for spirited humbleness in the face of slow growth. And most importantly it calls for radical honesty, that is heart centered and slow in its judgment and delivery.

Mars square Neptune is about working through the illusions that are allowed to roam free in your system, without being channeled into anything but dissatisfaction and self undoing. Neptune without a creative outlet, touched repeatedly by Mars is a recipe for a lot of dark waters coming to the surface, wanting to be recognized. The elusive need for action in the pursuit of some ideal outcome is like walking through a storm without direction. The square between Mars and Neptune can feel like energy was just slipping through our fingers, lots of inspiration and very little outcome is very Mars square Neptune. It is important right now not to mislead with words and to be grounded enough to not be misled.
