Full Moon at 16° of Gemini

The Full Moon in Gemini is the sharpest Full Moon of the year, as she is in close conjunction to Mars retrograde. This much sharp and abrupt air energy on the midpoint of the retrograde cycle speaks of an eruption of  suppressed feelings and emotions, we might feel like slinging the sword without considering the repercussions of our actions and words. Support comes from Saturn in Aquarius, putting brakes on impulsive word slinging of this Mars Rx. The ruler of this lunation, Mercury, is in Capricorn. We have to think about the gravitas of words now more than ever. Speaking without a plan or a deeper understanding of what motivates our need to speak can quickly backfire. Not speaking though can be as dangerous as speaking thoughtlessly right now, because this Mars in Gemini can turn its energy inward, and manifest as inflammations or even minor problems with our respiratory system. So if something has been brewing in relation to the placement where 16º of Gemini falls in your chart, finding ways to express it with utmost care and awareness is the task for this lunation. 

Anger and trying to get ourselves out of feeling the frustration through intellectualizing our feelings is not going to cut it now. Choices we have made since October of 2021 may be coming full circle right now and we may be gaining greater emotional clarity on the effect those choices had on us. 

This alignment of Mars with the Moon opposite Sun on the axis of knowledge, belief systems, ideology, information, communication and actual or metaphorical travels can ignite our desire to stand up for what we deem to be true and of value. We can find ourselves challenging preconceived societal or cultural ideas during this time. This is a very important distillation process, where we have an opportunity to wholesomely separate what we believe is true vs what we have been taught to believe is true. The generational or hierarchical clash is possible, but as long as we understand everyone’s starting point is different and the pendulum is still in full swing, we should be able to avoid verbal recklessness during this lunation.
