New Moon at 1º33 of Aquarius. 01/21/2023

The New Moon in Aquarius arrives on Saturn Day. It is very symbolic, since this is the last Saturn ruled New Moon, with Saturn being in its home sign until 2047. Be slow, intentional and unapologetically innovative in what you choose to build and how you choose to do it for the next 20 plus years with this lunaton. Think long term, authentic, disruptive and focused initiation.

Pluto in the out of sign conjunction with this New Moon speaks volumes of the structures related to our past, our upbringing and sense of personal responsibility coming to an end. Very soon Pluto will cross the 0º point of Aquarius highlighting the urgency in regards to the ways we can exercise our inner authority to build new structures. The energy of this lunation feels like a resolution, a commitment to an ending through sudden epiphany. Ending the ways of dealing with our pain and our sense of belonging to the larger structures that are no longer valid for the place we aim for. With Uranus stationary about to turn direct we really sense the future at our doorstep, the dissipation of stagnation is here.

The ruler of this lunation, Saturn is in the applying conjunction to Venus. Venus is mature and resolute for a long term commitment here, commitment to the goal, idea, partnership or community. Saturn and Venus together understand that this is a slow cooking process, that for the most part deals with clearing up space and taking only the essential values into the future. We have to be extra mindful and careful as we set intentions for this New Moon, as in be careful what you wish for.. The energies are very potent and require us to let go of the ways we used to make sense of our past experiences. If the rationale behind the way you look at your past is robbing you of your power and agency, it is gotta change. The shift towards the future is palpable, and we are asked to take a stand for that future with a sense of personal authority, vision and patience to see our intention through.

This Aquarius New Moon is supported by the sextile from Jupiter in Aries. The long standing puzzle of our authentic purpose and direction, can now be decoded as so much weight has been released leading up to this chapter. Aquarian energy asks us to recognize how the workings of our mind can alter our reality. How our ability to filter through all the data coming at us can be incredibly transformative and empowering.
